Honestly what an album, its mystifying, heavy, virtuostic, and manages to maintain my attention throughout its hour run time. Pretty much every rock genre that found its footing in the 90s is explored on it. In 8 tracks they run the gambit through drone, technical metal, post rock, and math rock with style. I truly believe this is the group at their best though I also have a special reverence for their 3rd album as well. Something about the interplay of 4 instrumentalists at the top of their game suits this band so well. My favorite track is the opener, check it out!
