There hasn't been too much music I've been interested in this year yet. New BLACKIE, James Ferraro and The Body have all been quite impressive. Is there anything you've found scuttling around in the depths of Bandcamp which many people haven't heard of? Maybe something released by a small independent label you're a fan of?
I'll start! By far, the most striking and stimulating record I've heard so far has been the new release by experimental noise-rock band White Suns. Their new album 'The Lower Way' is dingy, creepy, and will make your skin crawl so much that you'll end up in another continent. Perfect music for 3am forum scrolling. Their new album is out on Decoherence Records. If you dig the band, they have three other albums for you to dive into as well as another album released this year which consists of live recordings and unreleased studio sessions on the label Flag Day Recordings.
