I accidentally refreshed the page when I finished writing a story that took me over an hour. Stupid I know but I didn't save as draft at any point and there was no auto-save feature enabled. Maybe it could be off by default, I'm not sure how much server power that uses if there were a 30 second auto-save interval option you could check on your profile settings/post options.

If they don't add drafts then you should check out Obsidian
